This, Ben Artzi's third album, comes after a six year gap that left his fans wondering what he was up to. His first two albums, released in 1998 and 2001 respectively, established Ben as a major new name and bright young talent on Israel's rock scene.
Carousel is a little melancholy, with themes ranging from lost love, imagined love, longing for true connection, and musings on ends and beginnings. Mostly accompanied by either guitar or piano, it is a pleasant and enjoyable listening experience. We all hope it will be a much shorter wait until the next album!
