Before his death, the tragic American cult folk-country icon Townes Van Zandt left a collection of poetry he had written to an anonymous songwriter to set to music.  After Van Zandt's death, his widow asked for the songs back to offer them to famous singers to record.  After she was rejected, they were returned.

 

Who would have believed that the "anonymous" songwriter was none other than Israel's own David Broza?  One of Israel's most beloved and successful artists, he has now released a disc filled with 12 never before heard songs with music by Broza and lyrics by Townes Van Zandt.  This magical album is not to be missed by and serious lover of Israeli music, or Townes Van Zandt .
