Eli loves his father Shimon, a fisherman from Jaffa down on his luck and suffering from alcoholism. Shimon the individualist is the only one standing in the way of a mafia-style takeover of the Jaffa port, which leaves his wife torn between her husband and her scheming brother. Eli is also torn - between a free and open life with his father, and a "regular" life with his mother. When he decides to help his father regain his livelihood and his health, nobody could have realised how much it would take , or where it would lead. In the end, Eli must find his own song to sing.
