This gorgeous tallit features a motif of Miriam the prophetess singing with women and drum at the Red Sea, as well as Debora the prophetess/judge under the date palm and Vatikach Miriam HaNeviya Et HaTof BeYada (And Miriam the prophetess took the drum in her hand...) in Hebrew on the atara (yoke).
The tallit is made from woven cotton. The motifs are hand-painted on silk, which is sewn onto the fabric.
This tallit comes with a matching bag and kippa.
Artist Yair Emanuel, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem. Vivid and harmonious colors as well as a mixture of the old and the new characterize Emanuel's work, which is designed and crafted in his Jerusalem studio. The principal techniques utilized encompass painting on silk, hand-embroidery, raw-silk applique and painting on wood.
