The Wine
The very aromatic 2015 Yarden Muscat features orange blossom, marmalade and lemon zest notes layered with nutmeg and vanilla bean. The wine is unabashedly sweet, yet retains an elegant drinkability.
Yarden Muscat is ready to be enjoyed yet ages beautifully, taking on a richer marmalade character. We like Yarden Muscat along with almost any dessert, but have a special weakness for pairing it with crepes suzette.
Yarden Muscat is made by adding oak-aged brandy early in the fermentation of Muscat of Alexandria. The result is a sweet aromatic wine that is both fresh yet has background notes of rich French oak. The southern Golan Heights is home to the vineyard of Muscat of Alexandria.

Growth Area
The Galilee (or Galil) is the most northern, and generally considered the best, appellation in Israel. The highest quality area within the appellation is the Golan Heights (or simply the Golan), the coldest region in Israel. The vineyards on this volcanic plateau rise from 400 meters (1,300 feet) above sea level to 1,200 meters (3,900 feet) and receive snowfall in the winter. The Golan Heights Winery is located in the town of Katzrin, in the central Golan.
