Leonid Balaklav is a Jerusalem-based artist whose work has earned him numerous prizes and awards throughout his career. Born in the former USSR in 1956, he made aliyah to Israel in 1990, drawing inspiration for his work from the light, holiness and specialness of Jerusalem. His works have been exhibited in galleries and private collections both within Israel and around the world, and are among the collections of renowned collectors such as Ronald Lauder, Amos Shoken and Sheldon Adelson.
