Ketubahs

Right before the Jewish wedding ceremony, usually during the reception or Kabalat Panim as it is called in Hebrew, the groom and two witnesses sign a special marriage contract called a ketubah. Written in Aramaic, the Jewish ketubah sets out the husband’s obligations to the wife according to Jewish Law and is read out loud during the actual wedding ceremony which takes place under the chuppah (the wedding canopy). While the ketubah is a serious and binding religious document, it comes in a huge array of beautiful, elaborate and unique designs and many married couples choose to hang their ketubah on the walls of their home. Following in centuries of Jewish tradition, at JudaicaWebStore.com we offer a wide range of personalized ketubah designs by Israeli artists, from the traditional ketubah to a modern adapted ketubah text that better suits your taste and worldview.

Star of David

Star of David

With the ketubah being the Jewish wedding certificate, of course there are going to be those with the Star of David. The certificate is written in the middle of the star but the outer edges that surround it are where the art comes in. Ruth Rudin is an Israeli artist from Haifa whose colorful creations deserve a place on your wall. Her Jerusalem Star of David includes a colorful version of the Old City of Jerusalem that is seen in many of her ketubahs and her Joy Star of David features vibrant swirls of whimsy on each edge for the fun loving couple. Art Chazin has a different take on the Star of David, including intricate floral details and gold lettering. A Star of David ketubah incorporates your heritage and love for each other in one beautiful piece.

❤︎ We love the Lifecycle ketubah.

Paper-Cuts

Paper-Cuts

David Fisher always creates beautiful paper-cuts and his ketubahs are some of his most stunning works. His modern ketubah features an elegant design with a green underlay and white streaks running through it for the modern couple. Each piece is handmade and incredibly delicate, as seen with his incredibly detailed Arch ketubah. His floral ketubah with 24k gold leaf looks as though it is a glittering gem for the couple that love something extraordinary. His flower paper cuts in blue, green, and silver are a classic that can't be beat and are great for everyone. Any of David Fisher's paper-cuts are an honor to have but his ketubahs are something extra special to have on your extra special day.

Nature Inspired

Nature Inspired

Nature inspired ketubahs include pomegranate themes and Tree of Life designs. Top artists like David Fisher and Ruth Rudin have dominated this ketubah selection and come in a variety of designs. From cute little lovebirds to endless pomegranate branches delicately cut out, there are so many beautiful designs. The blue leafy design features different shades of blue and green and looks almost like you are looking down on a blueish forest, something any outdoorsy couple would love. Something a bit more traditional is David Fisher's pomegranate ketubah with the bright red fruit bordering the contract itself. Nature inspired ketubahs are some of the most popular designs and are really lovely.

Soulmates

Soulmates KetubahOne of the more unique designs is a ketubah featuring a bride and groom. Each one shows the new couple embracing each other and is something that will really show your love for one another. One option features a groom wearing a suit made up of a colorful Jerusalem skyline and the bride is wearing a floral wedding dress which is full of color. Following with the Jerusalem suit, one features the bride wearing a gorgeous watercolored dress. Another option is a black and white ketubah with a bride and groom silhouette with the words "I am to my beloved as my beloved is to me" lining the dress of the bride. Soulmate ketubahs are not something to miss out on.
