Recanati Merlot Reserve. Vintage 2012
The Recanati Reserve Merlot is an elegant full bodied red wine with a rich Bordeaux color. Its bouquest of red berries, cassis, and roses is marked by white pepper, vanilla, cloves, and green olives. A small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon gives the Merlot extra structure, depth and aging potential. This Merlot will gain complexity and character with 3-8 years cellaring and should age gracefully for at least a decade.
Grown in Israel's Northern Galilee--a climate identical to Napa Valley--Merlot grapes are hand harvested only after passing a stringent "physiological ripeness" test.
Served at cool room temperature it make s a wonderful companion to classic cuts of beef, lamb, or fowl. And an elegant accompaniment to risotto, porcini lasagna, steak florentine as well as rich Italian cheeses.
Size: 750 ml
Recanati's Reserve label wines are produced from the finest grapes received by the winery, those conducive to producing excellent wines. The wines are aged in oak barrels for extended periods and are characterized by their intense and complex flavors. The enological philosophy behind these wines is the production of a wine that is neither "old world" nor "new world" - but rather "Middle Eastern", that faithfully represents the growing region of the grapes.
Located in Israel’s Hefer Valley, the Recanati Winery is a showcase winemaking facility, equipped with the most innovative technology available today.
