These beautiful sterling silver earrings are adorned on one side with a replica of the ancient half shekel coin which was given as an annual gift by every Jewish male to the Temple and was used in circulation during the Jewish Great Revolt against Rome (33-70 C.E.). Featured are three pomegranates on a stem (represented by 3 stunning Garnet stones), and in ancient Hebrew script the words "Holy Jerusalem." The coin was discovered at the Temple Mount Sifting Operation at Emek Tzurim on the Mount of Olives and dates to the years 66/67 CE.
