Purim is every child’s favorite holiday. Creative dressing up costumes, enticing goodie bags, a story about kings, queens and villains and permission to make noise in Synagogue make it easy to love this festival! The traditional noisemaker – grogger in Yiddish and ra’ashan in Hebrew – is used to drown out the name of the Purim story’s antagonist Haman when the megillah (Book of Esther) is being read. These decorative noisemakers make great gifts for kids and adults alike, and are a fabulous way to get everyone involved in the Purim celebrations!
