The Upsherin, a Yiddish word meaning 'cut off' refers to the ceremony of cutting a boy's hair for the first time when he is 3 years old usually. While this ceremony has been practiced for many centuries, it is gaining popularity in the diaspora and already extremely common in Israel, even for those who do not keep long payos.
We have created a set of upsherin gifts, excellent for every little boy as he continues on his Jewish journey, including educational toys and puzzles, yarmulkes for children, and kids' mezuzahs. Many of the items in the collection are personalized, including the kippot and children's kiddush cups. All of these are excellent ways to instill a love of Judaism young, as will the colorful tzedakah boxes bedroom decorations, and blessings to be hung up on offer here.
