Bier Judaica was founded in 1950 by Jizchak Bier, a graduate of Jerusalem's prestigious Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, who saw a need to replenish the production of high quality silver Judaica that was lost during the Holocaust. After winning a distinguished prize for designing an extraordinary Hanukkah menorah, Bier's first workshop was established and Bier Judaica was born.
All Bier Judaica products are carefully and lovingly handmade in the heart of Jerusalem, using a range of specialist techniques including metal cutting, blending, spinning, lost wax casting, and hammering. Inspiration for the wide range of unique designs comes from biblical verses, original decorative lettering, and ornaments related to Jewish customs and folklore.
Today, the tradition of producing unique, high quality and meaningful pieces of silver Judaica has been passed to Jizchak Bier's sons, Mordechai and Meir, ensuring the continuity of excellence.
