Krav Maga is a cutting-edge hybrid self defense and hand to hand combat system originally developed by Grandmaster Imi Lichtenfeld  ter in the city of Bratislava (the modern capital of Slovakia) the 1930s. The principles and techniques of Krav Maga were utilized by early Israeli underground paramilitary organizations such as the Haganah and Palmach and is today a staple of the Israel Defense Forces.
