One of the best examples of Israel's seminal World Music scene (probably best known through Idan Raichel), Yaron Pe'er's 2007 debut album is a stunning blend of traditional Jewish music and Biblical texts with music and guest musicians from India, Egypt, Greece, Sudan, and more.

As of 2012, we're still waiting for a followup, so here's hoping that this timeless classic debut wasn't just a flash in the pan!
