Spread across three canvases, this stunning panoramic view of Jerusalem and the Old City would make a beautiful, evocative addition to any home. It shows Jerusalem's lush green foliage and ubiquitous conifers, as well as the famous Old City walls and a view of the rising city behind them, sitting serenely under a cloudy blue sky.
Born in December 1944 in the USSR, Zina Roitman is a renowned Israeli artist best known for her aquarelle paintings and serigraphs (silk prints). Moldavian-born Roitman studied classical art at the Art Academy of Kishinev before immigrating to Israel, and was influenced by a broad range of contemporary artists ranging from Picasso, Matisse, Vasarely, Chagall and various Japanese artists. Her distinctive style includes a remarkable affinity for watercolors and the graphic-oriented work associated with printing, and has earned international acclaim. Roitman’s love of Israel and her delight in its unique landscapes are evident in her work, which has been displayed in galleries across Israel, and in Maryland, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
